According to professor Google, there are 82 different definitions of a story. Yet, despite the oddly random amount, they all land somewhere around the same place; a character, in pursuit of a goal, in the face of some challenge. Whether it be a film, a documentary, a commercial or a brand spot. They all take us through the same route. We obsess and fantasize over our favourite characters. We breathe vicariously into their goals in the hopes of sharing the taste of victory and find that we’re just as satisfied in their failure. Perhaps that’s what makes a story so compelling to the human spirit. A story is you, a story is me, a story is us. A story is us living our highest and lowest moments through each other. A story gives us life… Tell me a story!
